Daphne Anne Logue, 49, of Hillsborough, N.C. passed away surrounded by family and friends at her home on February 16, 2018. She was born September 2, 1968 to the late Pat Imperial and William Huggins.
Daphne was a registered nurse who spent her career at Duke University Medical Center. She worked with head and neck cancer patients at the Otolaryngology Clinic (1F). She was described by her Division Chief as a nurse “who put a great deal of herself into her work and her relationships”. She was loved by clinic staff and patients and was known for her compassion and willingness to do whatever it took to meet their needs. She was hands-on with kisses and hugs for patients that formed relationships that began with comforting wisdom and words as patients came to the clinic for their first visits. Daphne was recognized through Duke Nursing as “Achieving Exemplary Outcomes through Collaboration” as well as Employee of the Quarter many times.
She is survived by her two children, David (21) and Sarah Anne (17), and her husband, Gary. She is also survived by 3 sisters, her twin, Stephanie, and sisters Cathy and Patti.

A service will be held on Saturday, February 24 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church Hillsborough with a celebration of Daphne’s life immediately following at the Hot Tin Roof, 115 W Margaret Ln, Hillsborough, NC 27278.
