James Edward Chavis

James Edward "Pete" Chavis, son of the late Walter and Lula Mae McGill Chavis, was born on February 4, 1949 in Cary, North Carolina.  He departed this life on Saturday, May 26, 2018.

He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife of more than 40 years, Gwendolyn Greene Chavs; a sister, Shirley Ferrell; a brother, Kenneth Chavis; his father-in-law, Silas Greene; a brother-in-law, Donnell Greene (Virginia)
