Johnathan Martrice Henry

Born November 25, 1979 in Durham, North Carolina to Renita Henry & Kenneth Saunders, the beloved Jonathan Martrice Henry was the middle child of three. At an early age Jonathan gave his life to Christ. He attended W.G. Pearson Elementary, and Shepard Middle School where he would meet his forever love Dekida Doster. He later would graduate from Hillside High School. In his spare time, he loved to fish and loved sports. He loved to compete, and was known for his great basketball skills on the court. In fact, he crowned himself as the king of the court. His favorite teams were the North Carolina Tar Heels, and the San Francisco 49ers.

Jonathan worked at Kayser Roth in Graham, NC where he was known as a dedicated worker. It was there where he began to formulate a plan to start his own business for a lawn service. He was a loving son, brother, dedicated father, and loyal friend. He was known for his sense of humor & witty remarks that would make you laugh.

Jonathan transitioned to his heavenly home on April 28, 2019 at the age of 39. He leaves behind his beloved mother Renita Henry and father Kenneth Saunders, an older brother Marcus (Christie) Henry of Waynesboro, GA and two sisters Malika (Trenton) Sykes of Winston Salem, NC and Kendra Saunders of Durham, NC.  He also leaves behind the love of his life Dekida Doster along with their beautiful children Jaquan, Ashanti, Chastny, Destiny, Jonathan Jr, Javion and Daniyah, along with daughter Ava; A Step- father Rudy Sykes, one great aunt Mary Frances, uncle John D Henry, along with his loving aunts and uncles of the Gray Family and friends. Jonathan will forever be missed, but we stand on the promises of Jesus that we will see him again.
