Lewis Winfred Partridge was born June 26, 1951 to the late Lewis Russell and Mamie Ruth Bryant Partridge. He entered eternal rest on Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Duke Medical Pavilion surrounded by his family.
Lewis was preceded in death by his daughter Tracey Lynette Partridge whom he loved dearly. Lewis was educated in Harnett County Public Schools and when his family moved to Durham he was educated in Durham Public Schools and graduated from Merrick Moore High School Class of 1969.
At an early age Lewis had incredible work ethics and obtained numerous jobs to assist in helping his parents with his siblings.
Some of his jobs were: Carolina Builders, C&O Warehouse, Classic Foods, and PPD. His passion was for the restaurant business which he had various jobs such as Honeys, The Country Squire, The Olde House,Wabash Station, Alexanders where he was the Maître D.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving partner and special friend and caretaker Opal Tatum; one daughter, Tamala Partridge Johnson of Chapel Hill, NC; three granddaughters, Jasmine Partridge, Erica Geer, Kyla McCracken; two grandsons, Shamael Partridge and Riley McCracken; two great granddaughters, Aydenne and Averi Chavis all of Chapel Hill NC.
One brother, John Partridge Sr. (Sharon), two sisters, Linda Peacock (Elliott) all of Durham and Teressa Hayes (Phillip) of Rocky Point, NC; one aunt, Odessa Williams of Sanford, NC; one uncle, Charles Bryant (Rebie) Gainesville, Florida. Host of Nieces and Nephews and friends
