Mr. Andrew Andray Perry, Jr. a dedicated employee, a dedicated member and a dedicated family man was born on August 28, 1961 at Fordham Hospital in the Bronx, New York to the late Andrew “Boot” Perry, Sr. and the late Patsy-Ann Jean Kerns-Perry. Andrew Perry, Jr and his family lived in the Bronx, NY until 1971, when had and his family returned to Durham, NC, the place of birth of his parents, Andrew Sr. and Patsy Perry. Mr. Andrew A. Perry Jr. was educated in the New York City and Durham City schools.

Throughout his working years Mr. Perry worked many jobs. From working at the Almay Cosmetics Plant in Apex, NC, Manpower Temporary Services to Wendy’s. The one job that was very special to him was his job working at the Sheraton Europa Hotel in Chapel Hill, NC. For over 30 years, he worked there serving in various capacities, from the banquet staff to working in the kitchen and training new employees. Mr. Perry continued working at the Sheraton Europa until his health began to decline.

          Andrew Perry Jr was a dedicated member of Mount Olive AME Zion Church where he sang along with his father, Andrew Sr. on the Mount Olive’s Male Chorus. Together, he and his father would travel and sing with the Mount Olive Male Chorus throughout parts of North Carolina and South Carolina.

          Andrew Jr. had a special relationship with his father Andrew Sr. and took care of his father until his father’s passing in March 2020.

          Andrew Perry Jr. enjoyed traveling with his family. He has traveled from Las Vegas, Nevada, Detroit Michigan to Texas. Some of his favorite moments was at the beach with family and fishing with his Father.

          Andrew A. Perry, Jr. leaves to cherish his sister, Cynthia Perry-Garland, whom he had a close relationship with, his brother-n-law Terence D. Garland and a host of Family and Friends.
