On Saturday, March 21, 2020, God looked among his disciples. He saw the road was going to get rough and the hills were going to be too hard to climb. God sent his angel for Andrew and gently closed his eyes and whispered “Peace be Thine”. He was surrounded by his loving family during his transition to his heavenly home.
Andrew Andray Perry was born in Durham, North Carolina on December 13, 1939, he was the eldest to the late Frances Sims McCullough Perry and the late James Washington Perry.
He received his education from Hillside High School, the class of 1959. Andrew was a lifelong member of Mount Olive A.M.E Zion Church located in Durham, NC. He served on various committee at the church until his health failed him.
Andrew retired from the United States Postal service where he worked for over 30 years.
He was married to the late Patsy Ann Jean Kearns Perry for over 54 years and to this union two children were born.
Andrew is survived by his son, Andrew A. Perry, Jr., Daughter Cynthia L. Perry Garland (Terence). Step mother Beola Perry. Brothers; Dennis Eubanks (Pam), Kevin Eubanks, James Perry (Lori), Anthony Perry (Sophia), Shelton Perry (Tracey), Jonathan Perry; Sisters, Linda Richmond, Lisa Richmond, Tonia Rogers-Dixon (Kevin), Beverly Howard (Ken) and Keshia Perry. He is also survived by his mother in law, Ms. Lillie Mae Kearns, and a host of other relatives and close friends.
Andrew left this earth with no regrets, for he lived a full life.
