David Henry Sawyer, Jr., son of the late David Henry and Deborah Louise Fields Sawyer, was born on September 11, 1963 in Norfolk, Virginia. He departed this life on June 18, 2024 at Carver Living Center.
He was educated in the Durham Public Schools.
He was an auto detailer by trade.
He was a loving and lovable person who enjoyed playing basketball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Evangelist Gail Miller.
David leaves to cherish his loving memories, three sisters, Shawantha Sawyer, Deborah Sawyer Hester (James) and Kekajuane Sawyer; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
