DOROTHY WILLIAMS FAULKNER, was born in Orange, New Jersey on June 13, 1925 to the late Charles Theodore Williams and Hallie Walker Williams. Her mother passed away when she was three years old. After the death of her mother she was cared for by her maternal aunts, Mable, Augusta and Ara.
She entered into eternal rest on October 5, 2019 in the Anaheim Health Care Center in Anaheim, California.
She received her education in New York City and Newark, New Jersey graduating from High School in 1945.
In 1950 Dorothy married Ernest Faulkner, Jr. They had three children, Ernest, Diana and Denise (twins). Diana died in infancy.
Dorothy was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in New York City. She was a very independent and an active member of her community. She was proud of her physical and emotional strength. She attributed her youthfulness to her “early to bed and early to rise” lifestyle. She loved music and played the piano. She always displayed a very calm and sweet spirit.
She leaves to cherish loving memories her devoted daughter, Denise Faulkner of Long Beach, CA; one son Ernest Faulkner of Long Beach, CA; two grandchildren Gregory Faulkner and Reuben Faulkner of Long Beach; two sisters Loretta Goff of Washington, DC and Barbara Simpson of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one brother, William Fonnie Williams of Greensboro, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
