Eddie Arnold "Moochie" Gattis Sr., the youngest of three sons and two daughters transitioned from earth to his heavenly home on July 4, 2021 at Carver Rehabilitation and Living Center.
He was born on January 23, 1949 to the late Martha Louise (Alston) Gattis and the late Thomas Gattis Sr.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Julia Bynum Nunn; brother, Thomas “Punkin” Gattis Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth Jean (Gattis) Lackey and Ola Mae “Gail” Dorsey.
Eddie attended Lincoln High School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He worked at Piccadilly Cafeteria. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and cooking.
Eddie's memories and legacy will be cherished by his son, Eddie Gattis Jr.; grandson, Timothy Hunter; brother, Joe Louis "Mann" Gattis Sr.; aunt, Mrs. Millie Perry; nieces, Anita King, Beverly Gattis, Bridgette Gattis and Tiwonda Johnson-Blount (James); nephews, Antonio Lackey, Joe Gattis Jr. and Joshua Gattis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
