Eric Montese' Crutchfield

ERIC MONTESE´ CRUTCHFIELD, son of the late James A. Crutchfield, Sr. and the late Marion Alston Crutchfield was born on July 24, 1963 in Durham County, North Carolina.  He was the youngest of the five children born into this union.  He entered into eternal rest on July 13, 2018 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

At a tender age he gave his heart to Christ and his hand to the preacher and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Chatham, County, NC. 

Eric received his education at AV Baucom Elementary (now Middle School) and Apex High Schools in Apex, NC and Durham High School in Durham, NC.  He graduated from Durham High School in 1982.  He was on the football teams at both Apex High School and Durham High School.

He served his country in the US Army National Guard at Fort Jackson, SC in the 1980’s.

He was married to Pamela Beasley. To this union two children were born Ricardo Montese´ and Briana Renee´.

His was employed with Pinkerton Security as a Security Guard, Glaxo Smith Kline as a materials distributor and at North Carolina Central University in the Physical Plant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Alston Crutchfield and James Crutchfield, Sr. and his daughter Briana Renee´ Crutchfield.

He leaves to cherish loving memories one son, Ricardo M. Crutchfield; one grandson, DeCario M. Crutchfield; three brothers James A. Crutchfield, Jr. and wife Cheri of Durham, NC,  Marvin Alston of  Raleigh, NC, Kenneth Blue and wife Terrie of Hurdle Mills, NC; six sisters, Paulette M. Alston of Wendell, NC, Linda C. Buchanan and husband Mike of Wake Forest, NC, Constance C. Gentry and husband Warren, Debbie R Doles and husband Jesse, Gwendolyn C. Fearrington and husband Antonie and Marsha C. Evans and husband Nathaniel of Durham, NC; four aunts, Christine Horton of Apex, NC, Alma Jean Crutchfield of Pittsboro, NC, Gertrude Alston of Goldsboro, NC and Geneva Cobb of Durham, NC; three uncles Alphonzo Alston and wife Wanda of Raleigh, NC, Bobby Holloway and wife Wanda of Holly Springs, NC and Donald Moore and wife Ruth of Baltimore, MD, and Bruce Holloway and wife Mary of Wendell, NC; three very special and close friends Edward Hines, Gerald Hines and Rev. Roddy Tate and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
