Gertrude Jeannette (Wiggins) Neville

Ms. Gertrude (Gert) Wiggins Neville, daughter of the late Marion Wiggins, Sr. & Christine Tyler Wiggins, was born on February 24, 1947. She transitioned from earth to heaven on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

The third of six children, she was educated in the public schools in Durham, NC, and was a graduate of Merrick Moore High School, class of 1965.  She was employed with and retired from IBM, and also retired from PHP (People Helping People of NC, Inc.).

“Ms. Gert” was a kind, yet straight forward (jokester/shooter) person, who was loved and admired by anyone with whom she came in contact.  With such a big heart, she loved helping people.  She was a faithful worker and loved church and God.  When her Mom was living, she and her Mom were faithful at Mt. Calvary Living Word in Mebane, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carolyn Wiggins Stephenson (Melvin). Wonderful memories will be cherished by her remaining siblings, Marion Albert Wiggins (Justine), Thessalonian Wiggins, Pastor Frenchee Maurice Wiggins (Sonia), and Shirley Wiggins Horton (Vinson); two aunts, Magdeline Snipes and Maxine Royster, one uncle, Tony McDow, 14 nieces and nephews; 24 great- nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great nieces, special friends Claude Neville, Kathy Mason, Ms. Cotton, Lue Thornton, Galen Simmons, and a host of other relatives, extended family and friends.
