Henry Alexander Thomas Jr., 59, was born in Winston- Salem, NC on December 5, 1960. He was the only son of 4 children to the late Mr. Henry and Johnnie Mae Thomas. Henry was called to eternal rest on January 10 at Duke Hospital with his family by his side.

Henry graduated from North Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem, NC and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology at the illustrious North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC.

Henry enjoyed serving the community in many ways; he was active as a big brother of Big Brother Big Sisters. Close to his heart, he was a brother of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. for 30 years, in which he was a lifetime member. Henry worked at the United States Postal Service in Durham, NC as a Bulk Mail Technician for 34 devoted years.

Henry was an avid stamp collector, sharing Black history stamps with local schools. He also loved to read and stay current on local events and the stock market, passing these pastimes down to his children, nieces, and nephews. Henry was a loving, caring, and thoughtful husband, father, brother, and uncle who never met a stranger and touched everyone he met with his kindness.

Henry will be lovingly remembered by his college sweetheart and wife of 33 years, Pamela Thomas; his children Alex and Desiree Thomas, his pride and joy; three sisters of Winston-Salem, NC, Deborah (Dexter) Harding, Angela (Willie) Stancell, and Sabrina Webster; Sisters-in Law Kimberly (William) Myers of Whitsett, NC and Shelia (Ade) Solano of Durham, NC. Aunts, Hymeria Teet, Melvernia Olford, Dorothy Thomas, and Uncles Walter-Lee Thomas and Eugene Mattison Sr.. Devoted friends of many years, Olando Speas and Harold Springs; several nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, and many friends.

Henry is now rejoined with his parents, Henry and Johnnie Mae Thomas; In-Laws Herman and Ann Wilson; and nephew Devin Harding... May they all rejoice and have a blessed reunion.
