Janet Lee Clayton

Ms. Janet Lee Clayton-Jones was born on May 4, 1958 to the late David Clayton and Rosa Clayton Cash. She was married to the late Larry Jones. She departed this life peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Duke Regional Hospital.

She received her education in the Durham County Public Schools in Durham, North Carolina.

Ms. Clayton was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was greatly loved by family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Raesean Patterson (Clintonia) of Durham NC; five brothers, Michael Clayton (Sonya), Ricky Clayton (Belinda), John Clayton (Jeanette), Carlos Clayton (Melissa) all of Durham, NC and Thomas Clayton (Nika) of Timberlake, NC; two grandchildren, her grandson, Malakai and her granddaughter, Malari, and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
