Joe Lee "Josie Webb" Patterson, III

     Joe Lee Patterson III was born November 8, 1962 to the late Shirley Ann Taylor Patterson and Joe Lee Patterson Jr.  He departed his earthly life on September 20, 2021 at Duke University Hospital at 58 years old.

     Joe was preceded in death by his daughter Shirley Ann Patterson, and two  brothers Barry Patterson (Donna) and John “Whistle) Patterson  (Dianne).

     Joe completed education in the Orange County high school district. He was employed at Sears Auto for 15 years as a certified auto mechanic. After becoming disabled he worked at Triple AAA & Advanced Auto Parts until his health declined.

     Joe was a loving and giving person in his community in which he resided, a wonderful man who his family and everyone strongly cared for.

     He was known by the nickname Josie Webb. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren.

     Joe Lee Patterson III leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife Angelia Patterson; his six children, Ronada Jeffers (Tennessee), Joe White, Jennifer Overby, Raje’ Calloway (Tiffany), Joe Lee Patterson IV (Jalissa), and Ivey Calloway, all of Durham NC, four brothers, Gilbert Patterson, Michael Patterson Sr. (Sheila), Floyd Patterson (Tamara) and Allen Taylor (Gail); two sisters, Wanda Patterson-Henderson, and Sandra Taylor; 22 grandchildren, Matthew Jeffers, James Jeffers, Christopher Jeffers, Robert (Jr.) Jeffers, Deonte’ Overby, Torrien Goodwin, Jeremiah Jeffers, Jaedyn White, Joe Lee Patterson V, Dionysus  Jeffers, Joel Patterson, Cameron Stevens, Maya Jeffers, Ariana Jeffers, Devonna White, Shirley Patterson, Faith Calloway, Ava Calloway, Destiny Jeffers, Amina Patterson, Hope Jones, Amiya Patterson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
