Julia Ann Cameron

Julia Ann Cameron was born on May 23, 1947, and departed this life on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Julia was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who cherished family and life.

Julia was born to the late James Erston Cameron, Sr. (Foots) and Callie Matthews Cameron. She was blessed with one daughter that preceded her in death, Cheryl Turrentine.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers and sisters, Ursula, Elizabeth, James and Jasper.

To carry on her legacy, she leaves behind three beloved sons, Steven Turrentine, Derrick Tate, and Christopher Tate; five siblings, Caorlyn Cameron, Esther Smith (Ira), Edna Parker, Calvin Cameron (Anita) and Terry Cameron (Cheryl); nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude for prayers and kind words.  The support has been a great source of strength and comfort.
