Julius Earl Miles, 70, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024, in Raleigh, NC. Born June 11, 1953, in Raleigh to Roosevelt Thomas and Barbara Jean. He attended Wake County Public Schools, was professionally educated at Boston University, University of England, two abroad summers with, Judge Hadyn Gott, Alexander Partners, London, England, and NCCU in Durham, North Carolina.
J.Earl & Sabrina have been together since spring break of 1974 and formally wed at White Rock Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina on, March 8, 1979, Sabrina's family church since inception. J. Earl and his daughters were baptized together decades later & was proudly appointed Trustee, by the late Rev. Lorenzo Lynch. Julius participated and assisted in several Missionary programs and enjoyed being a fifth Sunday Van Driver.
Julius was a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer with PRMG, Mortgage, for last five years, SVP, Carolina Capital Insurance, and held a Securities 6,63 and 26 Principle License for over four decades, with his spouse/ business partner.
He was known for his love of a good joke, boxing, engineering, of any kind, airplanes, motorcycles, & especially automobiles. J. Earl had an exceptional ability to make anyone laugh smile.
J. Earl is survived by his beloved wife Sabrina; his son Kyle Ayoung (daughter-in-law Shaniqua Duhon-Ayoung); (Sotoya Ayoung), his three daughters Ava Miles Wellington (son-in-law Marley), Julia Miles Davis (son-in-law Chaz), and India Miles Prather (son-in-law Chris); his sister Angela Jones Ashe (brother-in-law Tyrone); his brothers Robert Howard (sister-in-law, Tonya),Derrick & Eric Thomas: (preceded by sister Renee & brother Craig Thomas) and many
cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. Earl had a deep love for his children & grandchildren Soni, Sy, Nickolaus, and Mason Ayoung; Enzo Wellington; Dillion and Jagger Davis; and Christopher, Ava Simone, William, and Vivian Prather.
