LACOSTA  ANTHONY  GREENE

Lacosta Anthony (Tony) Greene, son of the late Paul A. Faxio and the late Theresa C. Greene Clay Faxio, was born on March 19, 1949 in Washington, DC.  Tony departed this life on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his home.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Natarsha Greene.

Tony was educated in the Durham City Schools and graduated from Hillside High School.  He was had been a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Tony was an employee of the Triangle Converting Corporation where he worked as a fork lift operator for 12 years.

Tony leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife of 30 years, Lynette Hopkins Greene; three children, Lakeisha Holliday, Liesha Hopkins and Jasmin Hopkins Wilkins (Darius), all of Durham, NC; one sister, Virginia Clay Creasey (Joseph) of Hyattsville, MD; two brothers, Mario Clay of Washington, DC and Vincent Clay (Eleanor) of Hyattsville, MD; two sisters-in-law, Lydia Hopkins Clay and Alma Toomer Atkins, both of Durham, NC; three brothers-in-law, William Toomer, Wilbert Hopkins (Valerie) and Roy Hopkins Jr., all of Durham; NC; four grandchildren, Jermaine Holliday, Julian Holliday, Mitchell Hayden Jr. and Kamarii Wilkins, all of Durham, NC; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends.
