Leroy Sims

Leroy Sims, son of the late Miles and Virgie Brown Simons, was born on February 22, 1957 in Micro, North Carolina.  He departed this life on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Hock Family Pavilion.

Leroy attended Richard B. Harrison High School.  At an early age, he went to the Job Corps.  He was a United States Army veteran.

He returned to Durham where he met his wife to be, Evelyn Gore.  They subsequently moved to Butner, North Carolina.

He leaves to cherish his living memories, his wife, Evelyn Gore Sims; one sister, Teresa S. Dawes (Sam), one brother, Jimmy Sims (Marie); two nieces, Tomeco Dawes and Jessica H. Bridges (Duwayne); three great nieces; two great nephews; and a host of cousins.

It Was You!

God saw a flower that just could not grow any longer.

It gave joy to many in different ways.
