Maggie Holeman Lyon of Durham, NC passed away on November 21, 2022 at her home.
Maggie was born on August 19, 1924 in Creedmoor, North Carolina to the late Moses and Martha Holeman. She was a sibling to Luther, Otis, George, Ernest, June Pauline and Mozelle Holeman.
When Maggie came of age, she became a homemaker and dedicated her life to being a caring and nurturing mother to her seven children, Pearl, Mary, Princess Ann, William, Jesse, Lash and Henry Lyon.
Maggie was passionate about knitting and sewing. She would also enjoy watching her favorite soap opera, TV drama and game show in her spare time. She was known to be a loving, kind and soft-spoken person who will be greatly missed.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Luther, Otis, George, Ernest, Junes; sisters, Pauline and Mozelle; her children, William, Pearl, Mary, Jesse, Lash and Henry.
She is survived by her daughter, Princess Ann; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
