Nautica Lasha Minor

Nautica Lasha’ Minor, daughter of the late Charlene Minor, was born at Duke University Hospital on August 26, 1997.  She departed this life on May 26, 2021 at the Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, NC.

She received her education in the Durham Public Schools and graduated from Hillside High School.

She worked in retail, marketing and also inpatient home health care.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Minor; grandmothers, Sylvia Jean Holeman and Sheila Minor; uncle, Derrick Minor; aunt, Sharon Minor; great grandmother, Anne Vilines; great grandfather, John Dee Holeman and Chelce VIllines.

Nautica leaves to cherish her precious memories, a daughter, Alicia Minor; a brother, Patrick Gilchrist; three aunts, Demetris Holeman, Lanetta Minor and LaShawn Minor; uncles, Monyai Holeman, Jonathan Alston and James Cook; several cousins including Lakayla Cook, James Cook, Kanesha Minor and Cierra Holeman; and a host of many other loving family and friends.

Nautica was the one to change the atmosphere in the room with her sense of humor.  She had the biggest heart and loved her daughter very, very much and was very honored to experience of motherhood.

She will be missed greatly.
