George Howard Terrell Jr., beloved father, brother and native son of Durham, passed away on May 6th at the age of 75.
Nicknamed "Byrd" from birth, Mr. Terrell was raised in Durham's West End as the youngest of seven siblings. Standing 6'3", he was known in his youth for his charming, enigmatic presence as well as his affection for fine white suits, 1950s Mercury automobiles and gospel music.
