Shon McDaniel

Shon McDaniel, son of Delores McDaniel and late Vernon Daniel Creek, was born on October 28, 1982 in Durham, North Carolina.  He departed this life on May 22, 2023.

He was educated in the Durham Public Schools and Chapel Hill Public Schools.  He graduated from East Chapel Hill High school in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 2001.

He joined the United States Navy in March of 2003 and served in Sasebo, Japan.  He was Honorably Discharged from the Navy, and worked various jobs.

He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Ashford University in 2014.  In 2016 he earned his Master’s Degree in Human Services from Kaplan University.

He was very creative, loved music and was an Excellent artist.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother Delores McDaniel of Burlington; two brothers, DeJuan McDaniel of Baltimore, Maryland and Jay Jamerson (Monley) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Crystal Hunter (Brandon) of Mebane, North Carolina and Tiffany Watson; five nieces, Ryan Hunter, Lillian Hunter, Jordan Watson, Janessa Watson and Shiloh Jamerson; a nephew, Ayden Jamerson; beloved grandmother, Shirley Creek of Baltimore, Maryland; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins, great cousins and great-great cousins.
