Shonda Elise Williams, daughter of the late Charles and Constance Brame Williams, was born on February 25, 1970 in Durham, North Carolina. She departed this life on May 2, 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona.
She was educated in the Durham Public Schools and was a 1988 graduate of Durham High School.
She was a licensed senior Medicare insurance agent.
Shonda was super proud of her new professional career of becoming a representative for Medicare, because of her love for the elderly community. Her love for God was evident wherever she went. Her desire for cooking and feeding as many as she could with that warming smile was loved by many. Shonda had become a spiritual mentor to many young adults that the Lord had drawn to her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Constance Williams; nephew Anthony “Buddy” Rhodes and godmother Helen Johnson of NC.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, one son, Glenn Barnard of Arizona, daughters, Sandra Guy of Texas, Shontia Quick of North Carolina and Maudice Sanders of Arizona; six grandchildren, JT, Aniya, Isa, Sarai, Knecole, Klara; two brothers, Charles “Chuck” Williams, Jr. of Texas and Lawrence Tommy Williams of Durham, North Carolina; one sister, Corlis Rhodes of Texas; sister/best friend Dena Williams of Durham, North Carolina; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
