Born on the 6 th Day of November in 1998 in Durham, NC, Simone was raised by Victor H Vaughan and Mary L. Vaughan. Baptized at an early age
at the White Rock Baptist Church in Durham, NC. Simone was active within the Children’s, Youth, Girl Scouts, Recreation, Dance and Music Ministries.
Also, during her school days, she was a member of her middle and high school basketball and softball teams. Taught early on the value of service
to others, Simone volunteered at Durham’s Urban Ministry preparing and serving meals as well as the Central Children’s Home in Oxford, NC,
creating arts and crafts with the residents, most of whom were her peers. 

Following her graduation from Durham’s Riverside High School, Simone then matriculated to North Carolina A&T University in Greensboro, NC,
pursuing a degree in Animal Science. Simone developed a love and flare for fashion, even creating beauty items from conception to design, including
her own fingernail art and eyelashes. as well as traveling, enjoying concerts and trying new culinary establishments with her friends.

Simone left us along with her son, Victor Jirraine Vaughan on February 1, 2025 on their peaceful journey. Although we are heartbroken, we will
cherish the sweet memories and moments in time that continue to make us laugh and cry.

Left to cherish those memories and moments in time are her mother Mary L. Vaughan, her father Victor H. Vaughan, stepmother Tammy C. Vaughan,
numerous family and friends who as a village, poured into her development. We want to acknowledge her special friend Jirraine Brown for
his continued friendship. Thank you.
