Tyler Rodriguez Lassiter born March 23, 2005 entered eternal rest February 25, 2023. Tyler passed quietly and peacefully at home with his loving grandparents and life-long healthcare provider, Dr. Jeffery Baker at his bedside. Born to his mother posthumously, Tyler courageously battled numerous insurmountable health issues.
Cared for and deeply nurtured by his lovingly devoted grandparents, Lewis and Phyllis Lassiter, Tyler lived a life full of love. Although he spoke no words, Tyler was known to take pleasure in music, cuddles and kisses from family, friends and his health caretakers. Tyler was the epitome of the word survivor. Regardless of the obstacles life presented him, Tyler would defy all odds. Patiently and diligently he held firm to this earthly life until his work here was done. Those who knew him were often inspired by Tyler’s fortitude, courage and humility.
Preceding Tyler in death were his mother, Jarvlin A. Lassiter; his uncle, Jarvis A. Lassiter and cousin, Jaylan I. Lassiter. Left to cherish Tyler’s memory are loving and devoted grandparents, Lewis and Phyllis Lassiter; uncles Lewis (Avis) A. Lassiter and Tony (Toni) R. Lassiter; aunt, Sonja (James) Brothers; cousins: Chelsea D. Jones, Brittany G. Lassiter, Tah’ja K. Lassiter-James, Kayla L. Jones, Caleb A. Lassiter, Logan A. Lassiter, Maverick J. Bell and Aria A. Gibson and a host of extended family, friends and caregivers.
