Alphonso King (Shyquita) Nance, Jr.

Alphonso King Nance, Jr., also known as “ShyQuita” Nance, departed peacefully on December 24, 2020 in Durham, NC.

Alphonso was born on October 17, 1994 to Angela Patterson and Alphonso K. Nance, Sr. (Michelle Nance).

He leaves behind siblings Dominique Fowler, Alex’as Patterson and Al’Damond Nance. Grandparent Willie Mae Patterson, and Great Grandparent Willie B. Umstead. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he enjoyed spending time with.

Alphonso attended Hillside New Tech High School. He was passionate about helping people which led him to work with the elderly in many capacities.

Alphonso King Nance, Jr. attended Mt. Olive Holiness Church as a youth where he was a faithful member and enjoyed ushering, singing and committed in the youth department. He enjoyed all kinds of music and was a true believer in making people laugh and have fun.
