Reginald Henry Nelums 65 passed away in his home on November 10, 2021.
He was born on August 1,1956 in East Orange NJ to the late Arnell V. Skipwith. The late Eugene Nelums adopted Reggie after he married his mother. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy.
Reggie was educated in the Granville County Public Schools, having attended Orange Street School, Oxford Orphanage and graduated fro J. F. Webb High School. He was an Army veteran who honorably served his country from 1974 to 1978 and was a disabled veteran.
He grew up as a member of First Baptist Church in Oxford and later. He later became a member of First Calvary Baptist Church in Durham. He was in the male choir. He was an Electrician for 25 yrs. He belonged to several motorcycle groups and loved the open highway.
Reggie was married to Rachelle (Shelly) Nelums for 20 years and her partner for 25 years. He was also survived by four children, Reginald Jr. of Germany, Marcus and Avery of Durham and Andrea of Burlington; seven grandchildren; brothers, Joseph B. Waldon and the late George Cash; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Additionally, several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law thought the world of him.
